Much Respect, Shaq…
Posted by VeRonda Wicks December 2nd, 2009I’m not the biggest Shaquille O’Neal fan, although I respect what he’s done for the game and he has made my mouth drop in amazement a few times…
But, really I just wanted to give Shaq a huge shout out, his propers, for paying for the funeral expenses of that little 5-year-old girl, who was raped and murdered. There’s really no where to go with this story because, for me, its too disgusting to expound on and I don’t want to give the baby’s murderer and mother (yes, mother) any more publicity.
Shaq was touched, as any sane human being would be, by the situation and what a way to make a difference.
I do send out regards to that baby’s dad and extended family.

You’re a trip, David… but yes, Shaq’s act put him on an whole new level for me. It’s a great example of how those with so much can help others. And yes, the other part is another post indeed.

This is the second time he has done this, albeit a totally difference circumstance. When George Miken died (original big man and Laker center when they were in Minneapolis) Shaq stepped forward and payed for his funeral.
As for the creep and what he did to that little girl, when he gets in prison, Bubba and his crew will show him some love with a theme song…”if you hear any noise its just me and the boys…

I didn’t know about the other time. Wow… It shines a whole new light on him, doesn’t it?
No comment to your other points, Kid…
