Dale Sr. passed away on February 18, 2001. He was 49. My father passed away on December 18, 2003. He was 49. The same days of each respective month and the same age. Awkwardly, you know how Dale Jr. was named after Dale Sr.? I was named after my father, as he's Troy Sr. I've just always thought that was a strange coincidence.
